Slow Weekend

This weekend our only purchase was snacks for work from CVS. And of course there were some sweet deals on nail polish so we hopped on that train. :-D

Tonight we headed to Walgreens and RiteAid to see if there were any fabulous deals. Jake found some funky garlic mayo spread for a couple of quarters after coupon at Walgreen.

At RiteAid we picked up some Progresso soups, some excellent Cetaphil soap and a cereal. All that jazz for $0.48. Not too shabby. Then we got $6 RiteAid bucks back. Yahoo! We used $2 off Cetaphil coupons (times 2), $1 / off 4 Progresso (times 2), $1/2 Progresso (times 2) coupons. It's pretty fun watching the bill drop down to an outrageous low price!

Our coupon flip book was becoming a bit unorganized, so this AM we laid out all our coupons and reorganized the categories.

Jacob of course had to count them -- his final count was around 600 coupons.

Laser Printer = We Mean Serious Business

Last night Jacob hit the town and picked up a wireless printer to support our coupon printing habit. He got a pretty good deal on it too (fancy that!). Now we'll be able to print 1000 sheets or appx 3000 coupons before changing cartridges. Yahoo!

Here's what we do to find our deals:

We follow these blogs to see coupon experts do their thing:
www.athriftymom.com
www.thekrazycouponlady.com
www.fatwallet.com

We signed up for RiteAid's and CVS's shopper rewards cards. These are what give you store credit back for some purchases.

We've found the best luck getting coupons from:
www.coupons.com
www.redplum.com
www.smartsource.com
www.target.com
And the Sunday and Thursday circulars.

Oh and if you watch videos on riteaid.com, you get coupons and some store bucks.

We currently use a 4X6 photo album for our coupons separated with different categories.Jacob wants to upgrade... we'll see what we can come up with.

We took a trip to the Christmas Tree Shop (kind of like Big Lots, but owned by BB&B).

Next we stopped by RiteAid.

AirWick kits orginally 13.99 each were on sale for BOGO. Since we were purchasing 2 items, we were able to use 2 coupons; each of which were $4 off. Making the price for both 5.99. They had another deal that if you bought $10 worth of AirWick, you receive a $3 rewards. Confusing? yes.
